Reference Designations

Table 5-2 lists the reference designations used in the parts lists, block

diagrams, and throughout the guide.

Replaceable Parts

Table 5-3 is a list of replaceable parts and is organized as follows:

Electrical assemblies in alphanumerical order by reference designation.

1. Electrical assemblies in alphanumerical order by reference

designation.

2. Chassis-mounted electrical parts in alphanumerical order by

reference designation.

3. Chassis-mounted mechanical parts in alphanumerical order by

reference designation.

The information given for each part consists of the following:

1. Reference designation.

2. Hewlett-Packard part number.

3. Part number check digit (CD).

4. Total quantity (QTY) in instrument. The total quantity is given once

and at the first appearance of the part number in the list.

5. Description of the part.

6. Typical manufacturer’s part number for the part.
