This example scenario contains four older HP servers showing high levels of CPU usage, shown
in the following image. Two of these servers are currently exceeding their CPU utilization limits
(red bar indicator). However, the other servers are being allowed to utilize 100% of their utilization
limit, well beyond the recommended allotment for CPU utilization. Note that power is calibrated
for these systems, and they are running at maximum power usage.
Create a “what-if” representation of a new HP server
Using the What-If Action→Create Systems... menu selection on the Systems tab of the Edit Scenario
screen , a “what if” system was added to this scenario.
This example demonstrates creating a system using guidance from Capacity Advisor's hardware
catalog.
Selecting the server model further expands the screen to show attributes relevant to the selected
model, as shown in this image:
