After installing the Java version, proceed with “Verifying the Java Version” (page 24).

Verifying the Java Version

To display the Java version of the client workstation on the screen, enter:

java -version

For example:

C:\>java -version

java version "1.4.2_10"

Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_10-b03)

Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_10-b03, mixed mode)

C:\>
