The default strip size value depends on the action mode:
In Configure action mode, the default value is determined by the RAID level that you specified earlier in
the script.
In Reconfigure action mode, the default value for this option is the strip size that is already configured
for the logical drive. If you enter a value that is different from the existing strip size, HP SSA attempts to
migrate the logical drive to the strip size that you specify. (If you intend to migrate the logical drive, back
up all data before starting the migration procedure.)
Encryption support commands
The following commands have been added to HP SSA Scripting versions 1.60.0.0 and later to support data
encryption features introduced with select Gen8+ controllers.
Encryption controller category
AllowPlainText
This command allows future plaintext volumes to be created when encryption is enabled. Existing volumes
are not modified. To toggle this command, use Yes or No values.
AcceptEULA
The command Yes accepts the Encryption End User License Agreement. The EULA must be accepted before
Encryption can be enabled.
ControllerPassword
This command sets the boot time controller password. Enter the password as the value.
ControllerPasswordMode
This command sets the boot password mode, allowing it to be suspended or deleted.
This command has the following values:
Remove
Suspend
Resume
Encryption
This command enables or disables controller encryption through the values Enable or Disable. Before
encryption can be enabled, the following values must be set:
Crypto user password ("EncryptionCryptoPasswordSet" on page 89)
Key management mode ("EncryptionKeyManager" on page 89)
Initial Master Encryption Key ("EncryptionMasterKey" on page 89)
EULA ("AcceptEULA" on page 88) (accepted)
