Event logs
• All generated events are stored in the trace log, by default. The trace log is for use by technical
support personnel. See Trace log, Viewing the trace log, and Trace log configuration.
• Events that are useful to administrators and operators are copied to the current storage event
log. See Event log and Event log configuration.
• Events that involve license status are copied to the current license event log.
Events log
The replication manager generates and logs many events. See Events overview. The event log
contains those events that are useful to administrators and operators.

Date and time the event was recorded.Date/Time
Severity of the event. See event and trace log Severity.Event Severity
Details of the event.Message
Replication manager resource type, job, or CLUI command that wrote the event record.
For example, a storage system resource or a job.

• A current log (server.evt) and multiple historical logs are maintained. The current event log is
rolled (saved as a historical log) when a specified condition applies. See Event log
configuration.
