the relationship cannot be established in the local site. Release the relationship in the remote
site, and try again.
• When you use the Preserve Mirror Compatible FlashCopy function, the MIH (missing interrupt
handler) value should be the same as for Cnt Ac-S Z operations (preferred MIH value for Cnt
Ac-S Z is 60 seconds). Also, you should specify 30 seconds for the RIO MIH time which
executes path monitoring of Cnt Ac-S Z. For details about the RIO MIH time, see the HP XP7
Continuous Access Synchronous for Mainframe Systems User Guide.
Copying process of Compatible FlashCopy relationships and Cnt Ac-S Z pairs

The following figures show the copying process of Compatible FlashCopy relationships and Cnt
Ac-S Z pairs with the Preserve Mirror Compatible FlashCopy function (shown using COPY mode).

Preserve Mirror Compatible FlashCopy function starts to copy after the following:
• The Cnt Ac-S Z P-VOL in DKC#1 becomes the Compatible FlashCopy S-VOL.
• The Cnt Ac-S Z S-VOL in #2 becomes the Compatible FlashCopy S-VOL.
• The Compatible FlashCopy relationship is established in both DKCs.
After the relationship is established, the Cnt Ac-S Z T-VOL in DKC#2 becomes the Compatible
FlashCopy S-VOL, and the Cnt Ac-S Z T-VOL in #2 becomes the Compatible FlashCopy T-VOL.
