Decode Area

Whole Area Decoding

The scanner attempts to decode bar code(s) within its field of view and transmits the bar code that has been first decoded.

Central Area Decoding

The scanner attempts to decode bar code(s) within a specified central area and transmits the bar code that has been first

decoded. This feature allows the scanner to narrow its field of view to make sure the scanner reads only those bar codes

intended by the user. For instance, if multiple bar codes are placed closely together, central area decoding will ensure that

only the desired bar code is read.
