2. Define a target (for example, the primary system SystemA) on the backup system. On the

backup system (SystemB), enter:

• For RCFC:

# creatercopytarget <target_name> FC <node_WWN> <N:S:P>:<WWN> <N:S:P>:<WWN>

◦ <target_name> - Name of the Remote Copy target system (SystemA).

◦ FC - Specifies a Fibre Channel link.

◦ <node_WWN> - WWN of the target node (node 2FF70002AC000060 on SystemA).

◦ <N:S:P>:<WWN> - Fibre Channel adapter port on the backup system (SystemB),

expressed as node:slot:port, and the WWN of the peer port on the target system

(SystemA) (0:1:1:20110002AC000060 and 1:3:2:21320002AC000060).

• For RCIP:

# creatercopytarget <target_name> IP <N:S:P>:<IP_addr> <N:S:P>:<IP_addr>

◦ <target_name> - Name of the Remote Copy target system (SystemA).

◦ IP - Specifies an IP link.

◦ <N:S:P>:<IP_addr> - Node on the backup system (SystemB) that contains the IP

connections to the target system, expressed as node:slot:port, and the IP address for

the target system (SystemA) (2:4:1:10.100.33.96 and 3:4:1:10.101.33.96).

3. Define a second target system (for example, the asynchronous periodic backup system SystemC)

for the backup system. On the backup system (SystemB), enter:

# creatercopytarget <target_name> IP <N:S:P>:<IP_addr> <N:S:P>:<IP_addr>

• <target_name> - Name of the Remote Copy target system (SystemC).

• IP - Specifies an IP link.

• <N:S:P>:<IP_addr> - Node on the backup system (SystemB) that contains the IP

connections to the target system, expressed as node:slot:port, and the IP address for the

target system (SystemC) (2:4:1:10.100.33.63 and 3:4:1:10.101.33.63).

4. Start Remote Copy on the other backup system (for example, SystemC).

# startrcopy

5. Define a target system (for example, the primary system SystemA) for the second backup

system. On that system (SystemC), enter:

# creatercopytarget <target_name> IP <N:S:P>:<IP_addr> <N:S:P>:<IP_addr>

• <target_name> - Name of the Remote Copy target system (SystemA).

• IP - Specifies an IP link.

• <N:S:P>:<IP_addr> - Node on the backup system (SystemC) that contains the IP
