Sending Notifications to an Existing Account

When you migrate notification settings from a previous installation of the Storage

Management Appliance, you can specify that the notifications be assigned to an

existing or target user account.

You may want to set up user accounts on the Storage Management Appliance

before migrating existing notifications. This makes it easier to send the previous

notifications to accounts you have created on the SMA. See “Working with

Users,” on page 26 for information on setting up users.

Use this procedure to migrate notification settings to a target user account.

1. If necessary display the Event Notification Migration wizard second page

(Figure 54). See “Using the Migration Wizard,” on page 84.

2. Select Send <name> event notifications to an existing user account on this

Storage Management Appliance and click Next to display a wizard third

page containing a list of default user accounts and any additional accounts

you have created (Figure 55).
