Specifies the format of the Name key. The

Name for non top-level ComputerSystem

instances uses an unrestricted format and

may be vendor defined.

A user-friendly name for the object.

The VSM server can return one of the fol-

lowing status:

• Present

• Absent

• Passive

• Active

• 5 ( Predictive Failure )

• 6 ( Error )

• 7 ( Non-Recoverable Error )

• 8 ( Starting )

• 9 ( Stopping )

• 10 ( Stopped )

• 11 ( In Service )

• 12 ( No Contact )

• 13 ( Lost Communication )

• 14 ( Aborted )

• 15 ( Dormant )

• 16 ( Supporting Entity in Error )

• 17 ( Completed )

• 18 ( Power Mode

• ( DMTF Reserved )

• 0x8000.. ( Vendor Reserved )

To map the VSM state to DMTF status for

ComputerSystems, if State is:

• Present | Active | Passive, set Operational-

Status = {2} ( OK )

• EsmStateAbsent, set Operational- Status =

{ 6, 13 } ( Error, Lost Communication)
