Component Description
Certicate Name
Internal name of a newly generated CR. This name will be used when referring to this
CR in other part
s of the administrative interface. This eld is required.
Common Name
Name of the application using this certicate. This eld is required.
Organization Name
Nameoftheorganizationthatownsthiscerticate. This eld is optional.
Organizational Unit
Name
Name of the unit
within the organization requesting the certicate. This eld is
optional.
Locality Name
Name of city to which the certicate is being issued. This eld is optional.
State or Province
Name
Name of state where request is issued. This eld is optional.
Country Name
Two–character ISO 3166 code of country where request is issued. This eld is
optional.
Email Address
E–mail address of person requesting the certicate. This eld is optional.
Key Size
Size of key being generated. The SKM supports 768–bit, 1024–bit, and 2048–bit
key sizes. 1024–bit is the most commonly used key size. This eld is required.
Create Certi
cate
Request
Click Create
Certicate Request to create the CR. Once created, the request appears
in the Certi
cate List with a status of Request Pending.
Using the Import Certicate screen
The SKM can import certicates in PEM-encoded PKCS #7, PEM-encoded PKCS #12, and PEM-encoded
X509, as long as the private key is included with the certicate.
NOTE:
You can import certicates with a key size of 2048-bit or smaller.
