Administrator procedures

Creating an administrator

To create an administrator account:

1. Log in the Management Console as an administrator with Administrators access control.

2. Navigate to the Create Administrator section on the Administrator Conﬁguration page (Device

> Administrators > Administrators).

3. Enter values in the Username, Full Name, Description,andPassword ﬁ elds.

4. Conﬁrm the password in the Conﬁrm Password ﬁeld.

5. Select the access controls for the administrator account.

6. Click Create.

Deleting an

administrator

To delete an administrator account:

1. Log in the Management Console as an administrator with Administrators access control.

2. Navigate to the Administrator List section on the Administrator Conﬁguration page (Device >

Administ

rators > Administrators).

3. Select the administrator and click Delete.

4. Conﬁrm the action on the Secondary Approval section.

LDAP Administrator server procedures

This section describes the procedures you will follow when managing LDAP administrator servers.

Setting

up the LDAP administrator server

To set up the LDAP Administrator Server:

1. Log in to the SKM appliance as a Local administrator with High Access Administrator access control.

2. Navigate to the LDAP Administrator Server Properties section of the Administrator Conﬁguration

page (D

evice > Administrators > LDAP Administrator Server).

3. Click Edit.

4. Enter the Hostname or IP Address and Port.

5. If usi

ng SSL, select Use SSL and enter the Trusted Certiﬁcate Authority.

6. Ente

r the number of seconds to wait for the LDAP server during connections in the Timeout ﬁeld.

7. Enter the Bind DN (distinguished name) and Bind Password.

8. Click Save.

Testing the LDAP administrator server connection

To test the LDAP administrator server connection:

1. Log in to the SKM appliance as a Local administrator with High Access Administrator access control.

2. Navigate to the LDAP Administrator Server Properties section of the Administrator Conﬁguration

page (Device > Administrators > LDAP Administrator Server).
