2.8 Property Sheet

The property sheet has a media library menu, a service option menu, a labeling menu,

TMF labeling menu, a scheduler menu, and a device inquiry menu. (See Figure 2-

13).

2.8.1 Media Library Tab

The Media Library Tab (Figure 2-13) has a list of all the tapes that are inside the silo.

These tapes are listed on the left side of the property sheet. Each tape is externally

labeled with a barcode. On the right side of the property sheet is the drive

configuration. The silo configuration has a list of all the drives that are inside the silo.

Each drive is labeled with its name.

To send a tape to a drive, click on a tape label inside the slot inventory and drag it to a

drive. The drive button will change to in use. The GUI will also show the status of

each drive.

The following is a list of the different types of status:

• In Use

• Empty

• Loading

• Unloading

• N/A

• Drive Down
