Transfer.
business tasks from CA XP sec. sites to prim. sites (in 3DC multi-target configs.)
If you remo
ve failures from the primary site and other locations after the system changes to a 3DC
multi-ta
rget configuration (see Recovering from primary site failures and Changing to 3DC multi-target
configura
tions after recovering from primary site failures), you can transfer your business tasks back to
the primary site.
To transfer your business tasks back to the primary site:
1. Use RAID
Manager XP to delete the current Continuous Access XP Journal pair, which extends
between the Continuous Access XP secondary site and Continuous Access XP Journal secondary site
(DC2 to DC3).
2. Stop you
r business tasks at the Continuous Access XP Synchronous secondary site.
3. Use RAID Manager XP to execute the horctakeover command on the Continuous Access XP
Synchronous pair.
4. Use the
primary volume at the primary site (DC1) to resume your business tasks.
5. Use RAID Manager XP to create a Continuous Access XP Journal pair from DC1 to DC3. Ensure
that the Continuous Access XP Journal primary data volume is a volume at the primary site, and
the Co
ntinuous Access XP Journal secondary data volume is a volume at the Continuous Access XP
Journal secondary site. The system configuration returns to the original 3DC multi-target configuration.
