b. Open the printhead access door. Press and hold the Black Copy button for about three seconds,

until the print carriage starts moving.

NOTE: After you have set up the printer, do not open the printhead latch unless installing new

printheads or moving the printer outside your home or oice.

c. Push down to open the printhead latch.

d. Remove the printhead from the carriage.

e. Check if there is a plug on top of the printhead or plastic tape on the printhead contacts. If there is,

remove the plug from top of the printhead and the plastic tape from contacts.

NOTE: Do not touch the electrical contacts on the printhead.
