6. Define a second target system (for example, the synchronous backup system SystemB) for the
current backup system. On the current backup system (SystemC), issue the following command:
For RCFC
# creatercopytarget <target_name> FC <node_WWN> <N:S:P>:<WWN> <N:S:P>:<WWN>
where:
• <target_name>—Name of the remote-copy target system (SystemB)
• FC—Specifies an FC link
• <node_WWN>—WWN of the target node (SystemB)
• <N:S:P>:<WWN>—FC adapter port on the backup system (SystemC), expressed as
node:slot:port, and the WWN of the peer port of the target system (SystemB)
For RCIP
# creatercopytarget <target_name> IP <N:S:P>:<IP_addr> <N:S:P>:<IP_addr>
where:
• <target_name>—Name of the remote-copy target system (SystemB).
• IP—Specifies an IP link.
• <N:S:P>:<IP_addr>—Node on SystemC that contains the IP connections to the target
system, expressed as node:slot:port, and the IP address for the target system (SystemB)
(2:4:1:10.100.33.195 and 3:4:1:10.101.33.195).
SLD Remote-Copy Example
The setup steps for SLD configuration refer to the setup illustrated in Figure 21 (page 63).
The figure shows:
• Synchronous remote copy between SystemA and SystemB
• Asynchronous periodic remote copy between SystemA and SystemC
• Asynchronous periodic remote copy between SystemB and SystemC
