Known issues
The HP Web Jetadmin software teams are addressing the following known issues. For more information about
xes and product enhancements in future releases of HP Web Jetadmin, check this document regularly or use
HP Subscriber's Choice Alerts on www.hp.com.
1. When upgrading to HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7, HP Web Jetadmin will manage the HP Ocejet Pro X476/
X576 MFP and HP Ocejet Pro X451/X551 devices by using the Universal Plug-in (UPI) or the discrete
plug-in, depending on the rmware version that is installed on the device.

In HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR6 and earlier, HP Web Jetadmin will use the discrete plug-in to manage
these devices.
●
In HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7, HP Web Jetadmin will use the HP Ocejet Pro MFP UPI to manage
the HP Ocejet Pro X476/X576 MFP devices if rmware later than version 1419BR is installed.
●
In HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7, HP Web Jetadmin will use the HP Ocejet Pro UPI to manage the
HP Ocejet Pro X451/X551 devices if rmware later than version 1419BR is installed.
●
In HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7, HP Web Jetadmin will use the discrete plug-in to manage these
devices if rmware version 1419BR or earlier is installed.
Issue: HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7 might not automatically display the new features that are included in
rmware that is later than version 1419BR if the HP Ocejet Pro X476/X576 MFP and HP Ocejet Pro
X451/X551 devices are upgraded from rmware version 1419BR to a later version after HP Web
Jetadmin 10.3 SR7 is installed.
Solution: To resolve this issue, perform one of the following options:

Upgrade the rmware on the HP Ocejet Pro X476/X576 MFP and HP Ocejet Pro X451/X551
devices before upgrading to HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7.
●
If an upgrade to HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7 occurred before the HP Ocejet Pro X476/X576 MFP
and HP Ocejet Pro X451/X551 devices are upgraded to rmware later than version 1419BR, go to
Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Services, and then restart
HPWSProAdapter.
2. Issue: HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7 might not automatically display the new features that are included in
rmware that is later than 1419BR if the HP Ocejet Pro X476/X576 MFP and HP Ocejet Pro X451/
X551 devices are upgraded from rmware version 1419BR to a later version after HP Web Jetadmin 10.3
SR7 is installed.
Solution: To resolve this issue, perform one of the following options:

Upgrade the rmware on the HP Ocejet Pro X476/X576 MFP and HP Ocejet Pro X451/X551
devices before upgrading to HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7.
●
If an upgrade to HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR7 occurred before the HP Ocejet Pro X476/X576 MFP
and HP Ocejet Pro X451/X551 devices are upgraded to rmware later than version 1419BR, go to
Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Services, and then restart
HPWSProAdapter.
HP is currently investigating this issue.
3. Issue: For group names that contain a comma (,), left bracket ([), or right bracket (]), these special
characters are not changed to underscores (_) in auto groups and lters when upgrading from HP Web
Jetadmin 10.3 SR1 and earlier to the current release.
