Perform an in-place upgrade of SQL Server Express:
1. Install SQL Server 2008 Express SP2/SP3.
2. Upgrade to SQL Server 2012 Express SP2.
3. Run the resize.bat le. This le is available in the WJABackupRestore directory.

Uninstall SQL Server 2008 Express:
1. Create a backup of the HP Web Jetadmin database.
2. Uninstall SQL Server 2008 Express.
3. Install SQL Server 2012 Express SP2.
4. Run the resize.bat le. This le is available in the WJABackupRestore directory.

Uninstall HP Web Jetadmin:
1. Create a backup of the HP Web Jetadmin database and settings, and then move the backup to
a dierent location.
2. Uninstall HP Web Jetadmin completely.
3. Uninstall SQL Server Express 2008.
4. Reinstall HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 SR8. Because this is a new installation, HP Web Jetadmin will
automatically use SQL Server Express 2012.
5. Restore the backup of the HP Web Jetadmin database and settings.
11. The maximum number of concurrent rmware upgrades has been increased from 10 to 50. When the
maximum number of concurrent rmware upgrades is changed on the Tools > Options > Device
Management > Firmware > General window, the value of WorkerThreadPool
FirmwareUpgradeTask is also changed. To prevent pending threads, the
FirmwareUpgradeThreadsize in the PerformanceTuning.Cong.xml
le must also be increased,
and then HP W
eb Jetadmin must be restarted.
The
PerformanceTuning.Cong.xml
le
is available in the following directory:
C:\Windows\ServiceProles\NetworkService\AppData\Local\Hewlett-Packard\HPWebJetadmin
\WjaService\cong
If the following section does not appear in the PerformanceTuning.Cong.xml le, it must be manually
added to the le and saved.
