Receipt print quality poor
Problem Possible cause Solution
Colored stripe on receipt. Paper is low. Change the paper.
Receipt does not come out all the way. Paper is jammed. Open the receipt cover, inspect the knife,
and clear any jammed paper.
Printer starts to print, but stops. Paper is jammed while the receipt is being
printed.

Print is light or spotty. Paper roll is loaded incorrectly. Conrm that the paper is loaded properly.
Thermal print head is dirty. Use recommended thermal receipt paper.
Clean the thermal print head with an
alcohol pen prior to going back to an
approved paper.
Do not spray the thermal print head with
household cleaner; this may damage the
print head and the electronics. The thermal
print head does not normally require
cleaning if the recommended paper grades
are used. If you have used
nonrecommended paper for an extended
period of time, cleaning the print head with
an alcohol pen will not help.

Color print is light. Various paper types are being used. Increase the energy level of the print head
in "Color Density Adj" of the printer
conguration menu. See Conguring the
