5-34 FRU Removal and Replacement
5.5.8 Bezel Replacement (Model 400s)
The bezel is usually not removed for servicing Model 400s system units. If a bezel is
damaged, it may be removed by referring to Figure 5-27 and following these steps.
However, the catches often break in the process, so you probably cannot reinstall the
original bezel.
1. Insert a small, flat-tipped screwdriver into the bezel’s left, top catch access hole
and push the catch up, then pull out on the bezel’s left top side.
2. Insert a small, flat-tipped screwdriver into the bezel’s left, bottom catch access
hole and push the catch down, then pull out on the bezel’s left bottom side.
3. Insert a small, flat-tipped screwdriver into the bezel’s right, top catch access
hole and push the catch up, then pull out on the bezel’s right top side.
4. Insert a small, flat-tipped screwdriver into the bezel’s right, bottom catch access
hole and push the catch down, then pull out on the bezel’s right bottom side.
5. Grasping the bezel’s top, right and left sides, pull the bezel off the system unit.
To replace the bezel, follow these steps:
1. Position the bezel on the system unit with its top away from the system unit.
Align its two lower catches with their respective holes in the chassis.
2. Rotate the top of the bezel into place, fitting the power switch hole over the
power switch pushbutton and the two left catches into place.
3. Push the bezel in and snap it into place. Make sure that the bezel fits correctly
into all the chassis parts.
