4. Enter the portErrShow command. Check for errors that may cause login

problems.

— A high number of errors relative to the frames transmitted and frame

received may indicate a marginal link. See “Marginal Links” on page 234.

— A steadily increasing number of errors may indicate a problem. Track

errors by sampling the port errors every five or ten seconds.
