Once the modems are connected, turn on the power and ensure that the
DCD lamp on each modem comes on. This will indicate that both Gandalf
LDS 120E modems are active.
Please note that these instructions may vary depending on the equipment
used at your site.
NAC 2 end
The cable between the NAC, running with a Meridian MAX SNN/SNN-E,
and the limited-distance modem is modem cable NT7D99AA. Figure 5-38
illustrates this connection.
The cable between the NAC, running with a Meridian MAX IPE/IPE-E,
and the limited distance modem is modem cable NT7D99AA. Figure 5-40
illustrates this connection.

NAC 1 end
The RJ-45 end of the NT9D8001 cable is connected to the corollary
terminal concentrator at the NAC end. The other end of the cable is a
DB-25 male connector, which is attached to a limited-distance modem.
Figures 5-39 and 5-41 illustrate this connection.
