Starting and exiting MTE in DOS
Follow Procedure 6-2 to start MTE after it has been installed.
Procedure 6-2
To start MTE
1 Display the DOS prompt.
In Windows and OS/2, this requires going to the DOS full screen. This
permits the graphical information to be properly displayed.
2 Change the DOS directory to the one in which you installed the MTE
software.
For example: CD C:\MTE
3 Enter MTE
followed by {RETURN}.
Follow Procedure 6-3 to exit from MTE. This procedure is identical
regardless of the operating environment being used.

To exit from MTE
1 Simultaneously
press {CONTROL}{ALT}{X}.
This key combination returns control to the DOS prompt.

MTE 5.32 or lower with Windows 3.1
To use MTE in a Windows environment, you should have MTE 6 or higher.
With the limitations outlined in this section, however, you can also use
MTE 5.32 or lower to access Meridian MAX under Windows 3.1 in a DOS
full-screen mode or a DOS window mode.
Note: Although Windows 3.1 supports concurrent execution of more
than one application, it is recommended that no other application be
running while MTE is operating. MTE may crash if other applications
are running at the same time. Running MTE under Windows can also
cause protection violation errors and workstation lockups.
