Display
Graphics in MTE, such as the initial graphical display and the graphical
report preview, are quicker to view from a DOS full screen than a DOS
window mode. The DOS window mode also may not be large enough to
view the graphic displays at times.
Colors of graphical reports are different when previewing in a DOS
window mode than in a DOS full screen.
Limitations on multiple sessions
It is not recommended that multiple sessions of MTE be run under
Windows. However, the following limitations should be remembered if you
choose to run multiple sessions:
• Only one MTE session can be used if local printing is required. Local
printing does not work when there are multiple MTE sessions running
on the same PC, which are connected to the same Meridian MAX
through a LAN connection.
• When multiple MTE sessions are started from the same MTE directory,
they share the same MTE.CFG file. Any changes made in the MTE
set-up screen are not saved unless the [Save] key is pressed. The
changes saved in one MTE session may overwrite the changes made by
another concurrent MTE session. Changes to the MTE.CFG file do not
affect any other active MTE sessions until they are terminated and
restarted.
• When multiple sessions are used, multiple copies of MTE.EXE and
MTE.CFG should be stored in different directories because there may
be different MTE.CFG settings.
• When multiple sessions are used, the same MTE options, font, and
programmable button definitions are shared between the sessions. If
one of these components is changed in one MTE session, the changes
apply to all other MTE sessions running on the same PC.
