52 Press {PF7} at the STA main menu to change the port configuration.

You are prompted to enter a port number. Enter the port number of the

MSDL port you cabled to the Meridian MAX console port in Step 9.

53 At the login prompt, enter your name. For a password, enter the

Meridian 1 password.

54 Use the up/down arrow keys to move from field to field, and the left/right

arrow keys to select the entry. Your completed port configuration should

match the following:

Port Type System

Port Name MAX

Baud Rate 9600

Data Bits 8

Stop Bits 1

Interface RS-232 DCE

Emulation EM100 (VT100)

Connect Sequence CTRL-R (Read the directions under

the function keys on how to enter this

information.)

Logout Seq

55 Press {PF7} to proceed to the “

Port Maintenance Menu.”

56 Select

“Enable port”

using the up/down arrow keys, and press

{RETURN} to enable the Meridian MAX port.

57 STA is now available to monitor Meridian MAX as well as the Meridian

1. On the STA main menu, there is a function key assigned to the

Meridian MAX and Meridian 1. To access Meridian MAX, press the

assigned function key and press {RETURN} several times to get a

response.

Press {ESC} and then type STA to return to the STA main menu from

Meridian MAX. Press

{CNTRL}{R} to refresh the screen when needed.
